MUSE: Baroque anglais

Muse is a double-CD set consisting of the previously released "Tears of the Muse" and "On the Muse’s Isle" by the countertenor Daniel Taylor with music mostly by Dowland and Purcell. This anthology is an overview of Elizabethan music, which was so good at describing human feelings, from pain to hope, and with which the Elizabethans tried to fend off solitude and melancholy. With the help of the ensemble Da Sonar, the viola da gamba duo Les Voix Humaines, and luthenist Andreas Martin, Daniel Taylor presents here some of the most celebrated solos for countertenor.
