These are descriptions of the performance of Claude Regimbald, a flautist from Quebec who In 1992 won the Third Prize at the 22nd International Competition In Belgrade Yugoslavia. He studied at the Conservatoire de Musique In Montreal, where he was unanimously awarded First Prize for Flute Europe and First Prize for Musical Analysis. A scholarship from the Quebec Council of Arts and Letters allowed him to pursue his studies in Europe, at the Geneva Conservatoire, where he won a First Prize In the Virtuoso class of Maxence Larrieu. He has also won prizes in the Quebec and Canadian Music Competitions, the International Stepping-Stone, the Canadian National Festival of Music, the Quebec Symphony Orchestra Competition and the Montreal Journées de la Musique Française. He has given many recitals in Montreal, Quebec City, Ottawa, Geneva, Lausanne, Paris and London. He appeared as a soloist with the Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra as well as on Yougoslavian national television. He has been heard on several occasions on CBC, Radio Suisse-Romande and Radio- France.
