A vocal professor at l’Académie Ravel de Saint-Jean-de-Luz since 2006, he has taught in Finland, the United States, Japan, Spain and Canada, most notably at the Orford Arts Centre and annually at the Académie Francis Poulenc de Tours which he founded in 1997. His first book, Le Chant intime, De l’interprétation de la mélodie française (Fayard), written with Romain Raynaldy, was awarded the 2004 Prix René Dumesnil by l’Académie des Beaux Arts. In 1996 he was designated a chevalier of l’Ordre des Arts et Lettres and a year later named « Musical Personality of the Year».
