Halifax-based acoustic and electric bassist Danny Parker has worked steadily as a musician on both the West and East coasts of Canada. He is often heard backing up singers, performing in musical theater, playing on various film, music videos, and TV productions. Some of these include Little Shop of Horrors and Fiddler on the Roof. He has worked with singers Michael Bublé, Bobby Curtola, the Universal Gospel Choir, Nova Scotia Mass Choir, Lennie Gallant, and the Vancouver Tap Society to name a few. The many multicultural influences of both Vancouver and Halifax musicians and performers continue to create more opportunities for him to expand stylistically. This background has enabled him to tour and participate in festivals across the country, playing Jazz festivals in Halifax, Toronto and Vancouver, and Festival Musique Actuelle de Victoriaville.
