Anne Schaefer was born in small town Saskatchewan into a family ofmusicians. She was raised surrounded by wheat stalks and instruments and devoured them both. She has toured and taught on three continents, and was awarded Vocalist of the Year (2004 IMA) and Songwriter of the Year and Artist of the Year at the 2005 IMA for her debut album, “Twelve Easy Pieces”. Anne currently resides in Victoria where she teaches, composes, performs and continues to hatch musical ideas that will engage her and her community. “She breaths talent, rigor and taste...we can say that Anne Schaefer is already a first class musician.” — Alain Brunet (2008).
