Born in Montreal in a music lover’s family, Nathalie Gauvin has been singing in the US for over 20 years. After studying jazz and cinema, she asserts her talents as an interpreter and an improviser on Montreal stages, both in the theater and in music. In 1993, she becomes the main soprano in Mystère, the first permanent Cirque du Soleil show in Las Vegas. She stays there for 12 years and works closely with composers René Dupéré and Benoit Jutras. Since 2007, she is Le Reve’s lead female singer, an aquatic blockbuster, in Las Vegas. Nathalie Gauvin’s discography includes two Mystère records (studio and live), Cirque du soleil IMAX Journey of Man, Le rêve – The Dream and Peter Seibert’s Mr. Famous. She also sang on Fratata, jazz pianist Brigitte Leclerc’s first record. Although Nathalie and Karina Gauvin have been singing together since their
childhood, You, my Sister marks their first professional collaboration. Gifted with a creativity in constant evolution, this versatile artist continues to explore multiple facets of her art.
