As an opera and oratorio interpreter, the French countertenor Pascal Bertin has performed with conductors such as Jordi Savall, Christophe Rousset, Philippe Herreweghe, Marc Minkowski, John Eliot Gardiner, Sigiswald Kuijken, Konrad Junghänel and Thomas Hengelbrock. He also enjoys an extensive career singing with various leading ensembles performing music of the middle-ages and the renaissance. Among these ensembles are the Huelgas Ensemble, Mala Punica, Clément Janequin, Daedalus and Gilles Binchois. Opera roles performed by Pascal Bertin include, among others, Clovis in Antonio Caldara’s La Conversion de Clovis, Mercure in Le Ballet Comique de la Royne by Beaujoyeulx, Amore in Monteverdi’s Il Ballo Delle Ingrate, Amore in Giacobbi’s L’aurora Ingannata, and numerous roles from opera’s by George Frideric Handel. Pascal Bertin has recorded over 50 CD’s from different periods and styles.
