Laurence Cummings

Laurence Cummings studied at Oxford University and the Royal College of Music. He plays harpsichord and organ continuo with many of the world's leading period instrument groups, including Les Arts Florissants, The Sixteen Choir, The Gabrieli Consort and the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment.

As a soloist he has recorded the harpsichord music of Louis Couperin and has embarked on a project to record the music of François Couperin. He is co-director of the London Handel Orchestra and has been Head of Historical Performance at the Royal Academy of Music in London since 1997.
