Daniel Taylor is now one of today's most sought-after countertenors. His Glyndebourne operatic debut in Peter Sellar's production of Handel's Theodora was greeted with unanimous critical praise and followed on his stunning professional operatic debut in Jonathan Miller's production of Handel's Rodelinda. He receives invitations from an ever-widening circle of the world's leading early and contemporary music ensembles, appearing in opera (Metropolitan Opera, Glyndebourne, Rome, San Francisco), oratorio (The Monteverdi Choir and The English Baroque Soloists, Les Arts Florissants, Collegium vocale de Ghent, Berlin RIAS and Stuttgart Kammerchors, Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment, The Academy of Ancient Music), symphonic works (Dallas, Montreal, Houston, Toronto, St. Louis, Rotterdam), recital (Tragicomedia, Les Voix Humaines, Teatro Lirico, Arion).

Daniel is a solo recording artist on the ATMA label. His CDs have received several prizes: Purcell 'On the Muse's Isle', Prix Opus 1998; Dowland 'Tears of the Muse', Félix 1998; 'Star of the Magi, Prix Opus 2000, Recording Event of the Year.
