Siver medal for Beatrice Rana at Van Cliburn!

We are thrilled to congratulate pianist Beatrice Rana on her resounding success at the prestigious 2013 Van Cliburn competition in Fort Worth, Texas! Beatrice won the silver medal, and also received the Audience Award, voted on by more than 24,000 people. The 20 year old Italian pianist was in competition with 29 other talented young pianists who hailed from 13 countries around the world. Only six pianists made it to the final round, which saw Ms. Rana perform Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 3 and Prokofiev’s Piano Concerto No. 2. with conductor Leonard Slatkin and the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra.

In 2011 at the age of 18, Beatrice won first prize at the Montreal International Music Competition. Her debut CD was released on ATMA last September and includes music by Chopin and Scriabin.
