Cellist Cameron Crozman named new Révélation Radio-Canada (Classical)
ATMA Classique warmly congratulates cellist Cameron Crozman, who is among the choices for Révélations Radio-Canada, an annual program that introduces emerging talent to the general public through significant exposure on ICI RADIO-CANADA’s multiple platforms.
"Révélations Radio-Canada is unparalleled as a program. It provides an enviable showcase for four artists with extremely promising potential," said Caroline Jamet, Executive Director of Radio, Audio and Greater Montreal.
ATMA Classique is proud to have recorded and released Cavatine, Crozman’s debut album with pianist Philip Chiu. Cavatine explores the refined world of French music in the first half of the 20th century and features works by Debussy, Poulenc, Messiaen, Koechlin, and Françaix. The album was enthusiastically received by critics, including ICI Musique’s Frédéric Cardin, who declared, “If you do not already know the Canadian cellist Cameron Crozman, believe me, you will soon! His debut album Cavatine will keep his name top of mind for a long time.”
Described as a “mature artist with a profound musical imagination,” (Toronto Concert Reviews), Cameron Crozman is being hailed as one of Canada’s leading young cellists. Maintaining an active performance schedule in North America and Europe, engagements have taken Cameron to such prestigious venues as the Shanghai Oriental Arts Center, Berliner Philharmonie, Paris Philharmonie, Philadelphia’s Mann Centre, Montreal’s Maison Symphonique, and Canada’s National Arts Centre.
