The Montreal Baroque Festival is looking for four vocalists (soprano, alto, tenor and bass) to participate in its next Bach Cantata Project in June 2014. Singers with a passion for the music of J.S. Bach are invited to audition for this wonderful opportunity, which includes taking part in performances of Bach cantatas in Germany and Montreal with some of the leading Bach interpreters of our time.
In addition to a $3,000 prize, each singer selected will be invited to sing at the Tage für Alte Musik festival (Regensburg, Germany) and the Montreal Baroque Festival (part of the 35th CBC/McGill Series) later this year. Winners will also take part in a recording of the program for ATMA Classique, which will also be streamed on CBC Music.
To enter, singers are required to sign up for a CBC Music artist page and upload a recording (audio or video) of one recitative and one aria from a Bach cantata of their choice, along with a photo and bio.
