Les Violons du Roy's New Music Director

ATMA Classique congratulates Les Violons du Roy on the appointment of British conductor Jonathan Cohen to the role of music director. He will succeed founding conductor Bernard Labadie, who has been at the orchestra’s helm since 1984 and will retain the role of artistic director of its choir, La Chapelle de Québec. Known as a brilliant conductor as well as a harpsichordist and cellist, Cohen assumes his new role in the 2018–2019 season.

Twelve of Les Violons du Roy’s discography of 32 recordings have appeared on the ATMA Classique label, including two Juno Award–winning albums and one Félix Award winner. The team at ATMA Classique is proud of its fruitful and creative collaboration with Les Violons du Roy.
