En savoir plusINNIG
With INNIG, Canadian pianist Meagan Milatz offers an immersion into the deeply introspective world of German Romanticism, centred around one of Robert Schumann’s most fascinating works: Kreisleriana, Op. 16. Recorded on an 1835 Conrad Graf fortepiano from the Chris Maene Collection in Belgium — very similar to the instrument owned by Clara and Robert Schumann in the late 1830s — the album brings together works composed between 1835 and 1839 by Robert Schumann, Clara Wieck, and Frédéric Chopin.
En savoir plusTenderness and Tragedy
“Tendresse et tragédie” brings together cellist Paul Marleyn and pianist Stéphane Lemelin in a program dedicated to three figures of French music from the Belle Époque: Rita Strohl, Fernand de la Tombelle, and Gabriel Fauré.
En savoir plusArt Choral, Vol. 8 Québec
Art Choral, Vol. 8: Québec offers a true journey through more than four centuries of Québec choral music. Rather than presenting this heritage as something static, the album creates a dialogue between the earliest music to arrive in New France, the oral tradition, and contemporary compositions.
En savoir plusThe Four Seasons of Quebec
Part of a long tradition of musical works inspired by the seasons, this original composition draws on the landscapes, colours, and musical traditions that shape Québec’s identity. Conceived as a tribute to the province’s rich cultural heritage, it celebrates the folk, Acadian, Irish, and North American influences that have helped define Québec’s unique character and collective history.
En savoir plusGrétry : L’Amant jaloux
This new interpretation of Grétry’s L’Amant jaloux brings together the Arion Baroque Orchestra under the direction of Mathieu Lussier, a leading figure in the early music revival in Canada. Surrounded by an exceptional cast—including sopranos Magali Simard-Galdès, Hélène Guilmette, and Guylaine Girard; tenors Pierre Derhet and Artavazd Sargsyan; and baritone Matthieu Lécroart—the ensemble restores the full vitality and modernity of this work, in which humor, tenderness, and dramatic tension coexist with finesse. Produced in collaboration with the Centre de musique baroque de Versailles, this project is part of an effort to showcase the French operatic heritage of the 17th and 18th centuries to today’s audiences.
En savoir plusRavel : Le Tombeau de Couperin and Concertante Works
To mark the 150th anniversary of Maurice Ravel’s birth, pianist Élisabeth Pion, harpist Valérie Milot, the Trois- Rivières Symphony Orchestra, and conductor Alain Trudel have come together for an album exploring the subtle connections between the piano and the orchestra in the French composer’s work. Titled Ravel – Le Tombeau de Couperin and Concertante Works, this recording offers a refined and luminous interpretation of several major works from Ravel’s repertoire.
