Michael McMahon

Pianist and répétiteur Michael McMahon studied at McGill University with Charles Reiner. With the support of the Canada Council for the Arts, he continued his studies in Vienna at the Franz Schubert Institute and the Hochschule für Musik und darstellende Kunst, as well as in Salzburg at the Mozarteum International Summer Academy. He has performed in Canada, the United States, and Europe with renowned singers such as Marie-Nicole Lemieux, Catherine Robbin, Karina Gauvin, Lyne Fortin, Dominique Labelle, Maureen Forrester, Richard Margison, and Nathan Berg, earning him the status of a top-tier accompanist. In addition to his work as an associate professor at the Schulich School of Music, Michael McMahon is also a vocal coach at Opera Nuova, the Franz Schubert Institute, the Orford Arts Centre, and the Centre for Opera Studies in Italy.
