Description
Harpsichordist Alexander Weimann returns with a new recording of Johann Sebastian Bach’s Clavierübung II. This CD includes the French Overture, BWV 831, and well-known Italian Concerto for solo harpsichord, BWV 971. These works demonstrate the two most prominent and modern national styles of the time. For Weimann, Bach “astonishes with a convincing combination of complete naturalness and state-of-the-art idiom.”
