Description
This process of transformation, of changing a work’s original orchestration, is generally referred to as adaptation, arrangement or transcription. This recording of music for flute, vibraphone, and marimba submerges us in an atmosphere of sonic innovations and arrangements which nonetheless feel totally natural. With the exception of Circling by Tim Brady, written originally for flute and vibraphone, the pieces on this recording are adaptations by the percussionist Marie-Josée Simard.
