Description
Among Beethoven’s closest friends were three remarkable pianists of the Viennese school: Ferdinand Ries, Carl Czerny, and Ignaz Moscheles. Like Beethoven, each of the three friends composed for the horn, an instrument then at a crossroads: the natural horn was gradually being displaced by the valved horn.
